EXPERIENCE- I’ve been involved with traditional music (song and dance), teaching and performing professionally, for over 20 years; and have been teaching Irish Gaelic professionally since 2007 for community organizations and third-level institutions. I’ve taught both private and group lessons in person and online and have developed curriculum specific for online platforms. I have been a master mentor for singing within the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program through the National Endowment for the Arts for the states of Ohio and Oregon and have been mentored myself by Len Graham of Glenarm, Co. Antrim for over 10 years.

AWARDS & ACCOLADES- I have won many fleánna cheoil competitions in my youth on all instruments, and am an All-Ireland singing champion since 2002–the first American and youngest winner of the event. I was an award winner at the 2003 Cruinniú na mBád sean-nós dancing competition in Kinvara, Co. Galway; and hold MA degrees from both the University of Limerick and the National University of Ireland-Galway in music performance and Irish/postcolonial studies. I have recorded six studio albums with Chicago-based ensemble Bua and with Len Graham.
